Artist Coach & Manager

“CELEBRATE YOUR WEIRDNESS”

Hi! How are you?

I’m doing great ! Right now, I’m fully focused on my goals for the upcoming season. I’m working on new solutions to help more artists achieve their objectives and grow on social media—without it feeling like a chore. I’m on a mission to bring back the fun and excitement for artists being active online.

You specialize in helping musical artists build their communities on social media. What inspired you to focus on this aspect of artist development?

My background in marketing and social media management, combined with my work as a manager in the music industry, has put me in direct contact with the challenges artists face every day. Empowering artists is what it's all about. I truly believe that the greatest gift we can offer others isn’t sharing our own wealth, but revealing theirs.

What does a day in your life look like?

There isn’t really a typical day for me, and that’s what makes my work so exciting. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities. But if I had to outline a day, it usually starts with a 5K run, followed by artist coaching sessions or a project meeting and brainstorming. The rest of the day might include content creation, keeping up with trends through creative research, reading, or continuous learning. I also spend time responding to emails, tracking projects, and sometimes, I’m in the studio with artists or attending events or gatherings such as conferences, release parties, or gigs.

Social media trends change so quickly. How do you stay up-to-date?

I stay up-to-date by continuously educating myself and staying curious. I regularly engage with artists and industry professionals, test new features and advice firsthand. I also attend workshops and conferences on various topics. My algorithm and feed are tailored to provide the latest marketing tips and industry trends, which I quickly test to form my own opinions. It’s my passion, so finding new methods and hacks to evolve and help the artists I work with remains an exciting and enjoyable part of my work.

What platforms do you find most effective for building a loyal fanbase?

My go-to platform is still Instagram for maintaining close contact and relationships with fans. While TikTok is certainly vibrant and appealing, it can be challenging to sustain a connection with a large number of followers there. Instagram’s story features, including close friends stories, provide effective ways to engage more personally with your community. Direct messages and the ability to interact vocally with fans are also crucial for building strong relationships. Plus, with new features like channels and collaborative carousel posts on the horizon (shh!), Instagram remains a top choice for deepening fan engagement.

What is your personal favorite social media app?

Probably the next platform that brings back real organic reach! But jokes aside, until then, Instagram all the way.

If you could introduce one new feature on any social media platform to help artists, what would it be?

I’d create a "Full Reach Friday" where, for 24 hours, the algorithm takes a back seat, and artists can reach their entire audience without any interference. Once a week, every post would be shown to all followers—just like in the early days of social media. It’d be a breath of fresh air for artists trying to connect authentically!

Spotify or Apple music?

I’d choose Spotify for its playlists and unmatched discoverability. The algorithm really knows how to surface new talent, and it provides independent artists with powerful tools like pre-save and Spotify for Artists to manage their release strategy.

If you could give one piece of advice to an artist struggling to find their voice online, what would it be?

My top advice is to embrace authenticity. It can be the hardest thing to find and might take time, but it’s what will set you apart. Don’t try to fit in—just be yourself, and fully embrace your weirdness. Your unique, genuine voice is what will truly connect with people. Have fun with it, and remember, your real followers will love you for who you are.

Any exciting projects coming up?

Definitely! I’m thrilled to launch 'Level Up,' my new academy for artists. It’s a coaching and support academy that offers various group programs and workshops designed to help artists rethink their social media strategy and build their brand. The goal is to shift how artists approach social media and marketing, making it a more enjoyable and effective tool for their growth. I want to turn promotion into something artists actually enjoy and find rewarding. I can’t wait to see how this fresh approach transforms artists’ mindsets and helps them truly level up their game.

Tell us something to inspire the culture!

Celebrate your weirdness! In a culture that often prizes 'normal,' it’s the quirks and eccentricities that truly set us apart. Embrace what makes you different, and you might find that your unique traits are exactly what the world needs to see. It’s the imperfections and oddities that often lead to the most profound connections and memorable impacts. Be boldly, beautifully you—because that’s exactly what the world needs more of.
