Lyna Lahbiri
Singer/Songwriter (musician)
“KEEP THE PASSION AND HAVE PATIENCE WITH YOUR ART!”
You’re rocking right now, how are you feeling currently?
I feel really good !! And proud we’re working hard. It's a nice feeling !
So Lyna, you dropped an album and it’s amazing! How do you feel about it?
Honestly, really happy but I was extremely nervous. I was thinking about it everyday how I was letting everyone in after this album dropped. It's basically everything that I have been going through these past months. It’s just out there for everyone to hear and that’s scary but at the same time I’m so proud and excited. The music is hurtful yet confident and real ..it’s my first album so I better enjoy every second of it .
When you perform you have that energy, that passion, that fire in you, where do you get that from?
I really have no clue. Sometimes I wonder where I get so much energy but it’s also in real life I have a lot of energy but when I go on stage I totally forget the world around me. It's super cheesy but true. Sometimes I look at videos after the show without realizing I jumped like crazy! Haha
Did you ever imagine you’d be where you are now?
I have been doing music for so long…Since I was a child actually, so I've been doing exactly what I thought I would do. I’m happy I continued doing what I love and didn’t get influenced by people that wanna break that dream.
What was your biggest dream when you were younger?
Singing in a big arena where everyone is singing with me . That vision hasn’t changed since then.
Your father is also an artist, does music run in the family?
Well funny enough it's only my dad and me! Like me and my dad grew up singing and loving music. Fun fact, he always wanted 2 daughters and one who sings as well ! He got exactly that!
Both of you have a great voice, have you ever considered a collaboration, even though the genres are different?
Yes definitely! I think somewhere in the future that would be amazing.
Can you say something to inspire us, the culture and your fans?
Keep the passion and have patience with your art!
