Kenny Werner

Skater

“YOU DO YOU "

What's up Kenny? How is your year going so far?

Yooo, my year is going great and I’m feeling good. I am working on some things with the homies, that I’m really stoked about. We had a lot of good times so far.

It looks like you've been keeping busy though, tell me a bit about what's going on lately?

Yeah kind of, haha! I am working on a new video part in the streets and trying to film a little something in the local park with the homies.
I also skated some contests here and there.

What's the best spot for you to skate?

During the summer I’m always down for a session in my local skatepark in Poperinge. I really love the flow and the lines in that park. During the winter times, I prefer to skate the indoor skatepark called Rampaffairz in Wevelgem, as well as any good spot in the streets.

Who inspires you in skating?

I have always looked up to Axel Cruysberghs. We grew up in the same town so since the day I started skateboarding, he was the best skater in the world for me.

What's your go-to music when you're skating?

I don’t really listen to music when I’m skating but when there’s some music around, I like it best when it’s some old rock & roll.

Would you like to skate in SLS or the Olympics one day?

Yes! Especially because it would be a great experience to skate with all the pros.

How close are you to making that happen?

Haha, I am not that much off a competition skater so I don’t think I’ll ever get there.

What's your ambition with skating?

To keep on learning new tricks and making video parts. Just to keep on progressing.
